- Hi, I am trying to use amitcp/bin/startnet to get on-line for Mosaic; the
- program keeps failing with SERIAL_2: timeout errors. I think I have
- finally narrowed the problemm down to the fact that I cannot set my
- serial device prefs to 14,400 - the choices appear to be 9,600 or 19,200.
- What I have been doing with my terminal program is setting the baud rate
- high and letting it autobaud. Is there a way to set SERIAL to 14,400 (I
- used the SET command but that does not seem to make a difference).

- I have been struggling with this whole AmiTCP/Mosaic/PPP thing for a long
- time and feel I _REALLY_ close to getting onto the WWW. Now, when I
- execute my amitcp/bin/startnet I actually hear the number being dialed,
- and get the 'welcome' message from my provider, then I get a timeout
- message and startnet dies (leaving my modem logged in). I am so close I
- can taste it --- PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!!
