  11. Hi, I am trying to use amitcp/bin/startnet to get on-line for Mosaic; the 
  12. program keeps failing with SERIAL_2: timeout errors.  I think I have 
  13. finally narrowed the problemm down to the fact that I cannot set my 
  14. serial device prefs to 14,400 - the choices appear to be 9,600 or 19,200.
  15. What I have been doing with my terminal program is setting the baud rate 
  16. high and letting it autobaud.  Is there a way to set SERIAL to 14,400 (I 
  17. used the SET command but that does not seem to make a difference).

  19. I have been struggling with this whole AmiTCP/Mosaic/PPP thing for a long 
  20. time and feel I _REALLY_ close to getting onto the WWW.  Now, when I 
  21. execute my amitcp/bin/startnet I actually hear the number being dialed, 
  22. and get the 'welcome' message from my provider, then I get a timeout 
  23. message and startnet dies (leaving my modem logged in).  I am so close I 
  24. can taste it --- PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!!
